Hadley Point Capital is a venture firm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. We invest at pre-seed and seed and we run a paid advisory practice. This policy explains what this system collects, why we hold it, who processes it on our behalf, and how to reach us about any of it. Questions go to deals@hadleycap.com.
This system is private. It is used by our staff and by the founders and companies we work with. It is not open to the general public and it is not intended for anyone under 18.
What we collect
Founders and companies give us material directly. That includes applications and company details, information about the team, documents uploaded through the portal or sent to us, portfolio reporting figures and KPIs, and survey responses.
We keep correspondence. Email to and from deals@hadleycap.com and our staff mailboxes is synced into this system through Microsoft Graph, along with calendar events and the metadata around meetings.
We record some meetings. When a notetaker bot joins a Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet call, it produces a recording and a transcript that are stored here. The bot appears in the participant list, which is how everyone on the call knows recording is happening. If you do not want a call recorded, say so and we will remove the bot.
Scheduling links capture the time you pick and the timezone your browser reports.
Electronic signature captures the signer's name and email, the signature itself, and an audit trail of timestamps and IP addresses tied to each step.
Founder portal accounts hold an email address and a password, stored hashed by Supabase Auth. If you turn on notifications, we also store the web push subscription your browser issues.
The application and its hosting produce ordinary server and application logs.
Why we hold it
We hold this material to evaluate potential investments, to manage our relationships and our advisory practice, to produce portfolio reporting, and to keep the business records a firm needs to keep.
Automated analysis
Material you submit and correspondence in this system are sent to Anthropic's API so the system can produce screening memos, pull structured details out of documents and email, and draft correspondence for staff. Our staff review that output before anything is acted on. Nothing the system generates stands on its own as a decision.
Who processes data for us
We use a small set of service providers, and they process this material on our behalf rather than for their own purposes: Supabase for the database, authentication, and file storage; Vercel for hosting; Microsoft for email, calendar, and Teams; Anthropic for analysis and drafting; Recall.ai for meeting recording and transcription; Postmark for outbound email; Browserless for rendering pages we have been sent links to; and Google, only where someone connects a Google calendar.
Who else sees it
We do not sell information. Beyond the providers above, portfolio material goes to our limited partners as part of the reporting we owe them, and we will disclose information where the law requires it or where we need to enforce an agreement.
Your choices
Email deals@hadleycap.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it. We will do what we can, subject to records we are required to keep and material that is part of an active or closed transaction file.
Security
Access to this system is limited to firm staff. The database enforces row-level security, so a founder portal account reaches only its own company's records. Links we send to founders for scheduling, signing, reporting, and surveys are single-purpose tokens tied to one request. Files uploaded to the system are virus-scanned before staff can open them. Treat any link we send you as you would a password and do not forward it.
Changes
We will update this page when what the system does changes, and the effective date at the top will move with it.
